Hiking is one of my favorite outdoor activities in the Fall. Between going to the Apple Farm and picking out pumpkins for Halloween, I love just getting outside and observing the changing seasons. This is a storytime that I would love to do before a Fall Hike walking field trip, but even if you can’t get outside immediately after you read and play together, this is still a perfect story time for Fall.

Wonder Walkers
by Micha Archer
Wonder walk. Oh what a magical term. Doesn’t that just sound so much more enticing than “hike” or “nature walk”. I love it. I also love the theme of asking questions and wondering about the world. What I love absolutely more than anything are the gorgeous collage illustrations. This book is an inspiring work of art perfect for kids who love to play outside, explore their world and ask ALL the questions. Find Online

Outside In

illustrated by Cindy Derby
Gorgeous is the word I’d use to best describe OUTSIDE IN. The watery illustrations of nature are bursts of color and wonder. This book serves as a reminder to stop and pay attention to the natural world that is around and intertwined into our lives. Find Online
