Families are one of the first things that interest our kids. Imagine your toddler with a pretend phone by their ears chatting like mom or your preschooler soothing their baby doll or driving a car. Our kids are always watching us. Learning about the roles of the people around them.
No matter what our family looks like, and they vary greatly, family is what makes us feel love and at home. They help us understand where we come from and that is something kids crave information about.
Exploring our families and how other families are the same and different therefore is an important part of childhood. The books and activities below are designed to do just that.

Books about Families
Our favorite activities start with great books. Books that are make us laugh or think about the world differently. Books that inspire us. Books that make us itch to create or write or explore something deeper.
