Animals are a popular interest. Animals are fun, cuddly, interesting, and diverse. Children love learning about animals, reading about them, watching them, pretending to be them, and more.

My twins at varying times have been obsessed with polar bears, monkeys, mice, squirrels, orca whales, sharks, and deer.

Favorite animals vary to incredibly widely. In our home there seems to be no real rhyme or reason to it, only a consistent interest in the diverse creatures in our world.
